Assignment 2: "What I Hear"
Overall, the texture of the sound is very chaotic, with a combination of wind passing the tall buildings, cars speeding by and the subways sound of metal like roller coasters. The specific instruments caused by this would be primarily the cars and people all around. The sound of cars and sirens sometimes drown the activities of the people because they are so immense. Trucks and trailers hitting potholes making their cargo move and you can sometimes hear the subways running underneath while walking. People beeping in cars while people walk like herds of animals trying to get to their destination. Another specific instrument were bikes which you can hear ringing and peddling. In crowded areas, you can hear people speaking in English laughing or just talking while heading towards grand central and walking around, you can hear many other languages especially from Europe and Chinese or Mandarin.
